Job Overview The Nursing Professional Development Practitioner NPDP is a registered professional nurse who has expertise in nursing professional development, education, and/or a specific area or areas of nursing practice. The NPDP employed in this position will be directly involved in the orientation and onboarding of newly licensed graduate nurses in the Medical Surgical/Stepdown/Telemetry division through an innovative and trademarked program called NOURISH Nursing Orientation Unit for RN Integration Support and Health. The NPDP will work to support newly licensed graduate nurses to assess and validate clinical competency while ensuring a smooth transition into the role of professional nurse.Experience for this role includes an in-depth understanding and management of a wide scope of patients, including adult Medical Surgical/ Telemetry/Stepdown patients.

This role will support NOURISH, our program for New Graduate Nurses, with a primary focus in Medical Surgical / Telemetry areas.

Schedule

Full-Time Day Shift

12-Hour Shifts during quarterly NOURISH sessions,then midshift when NOURISH is not in session.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.

Active New Jersey RN License or approved compact RN license required.

MSN in Nursing or Masters in Educationis required.

Must have demonstrated competence in care of the adult Medical Surgical / Telemetry population.

Must have demonstrated competency in cardiac rhythm interpretation.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty is required.

Experience in education or staff development required.

Clinical specialty certification such as PCCN, CMSRN preferred.

Certification in Nursing Professional Development preferred.

BLS and ACLS required.
