Psychiatric Intake RN – Full‑time Nights, 7 pm–7 am
Since 1991, Aurora Pavilion Behavioral Health Services (part of Aiken Regional Medical Centers) has been providing comprehensive, individualized treatment for emotional, behavioral, and substance use disorders. The 62‑bed facility, located on the Aiken Regional campus, is accredited by The Joint Commission and operates within a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, clinicians, mental health technicians, and recreation therapists.

Key Responsibilities
Addressing the needs of telephonic callers seeking assistance
Performing level‑of‑care mental‑health assessments
Documenting in the electronic medical record
Coordinating patient care with internal and external providers
Maintaining department records and statistics
Completing pre‑certifications and utilization reviews as needed
Participating in patient‑safety activities
Receiving and documenting physician orders for admissions and patients in intake
Providing appropriate medical treatment within the scope of practice for an RN
Documenting and coordinating external transfers via medical‑off‑site transfer for patients experiencing a medical emergency in intake
Reporting indirectly to the Chief Nursing Officer
Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Registered Nursing degree from an accredited university
Public‑health or psychiatric nursing, or related background preferred
Registered Nurses (RNs) encouraged to apply
Minimum one year of experience in a mental‑health setting performing assessments
