Psychiatric Intake RN - Full-time Nights, 7pm-7am Since 1991, Aurora Pavilion Behavioral Health Services (as part of Aiken Regional Medical Centers) has brought renewed hope for those suffering from emotional and behavioral disorders, and those with alcohol and substance use disorders. The 62-bed facility on the campus of Aiken Regional Medical Centers is accredited by The Joint Commission. Admissions Clinician is responsible for conducting mental health assessments, communicating with psychiatrists in determining level of care needed, facilitating admissions and referrals to and from other agencies and treatment centers, conducting pre-certifications and utilization reviews, and fostering positive relationships with all referral sources. The Clinician is required to have excellent verbal and written communication skills to assure accurate coordination of care. Conduct level of care mental health assessments. Document in the electronic medical record. Coordinate patient care with internal and external providers. Maintain department records/statistics. Complete pre-certifications and utilization reviews as needed. Participate in patient safety activities. Receive and document physician orders as they pertain to admissions and/or patients in intake. Provide appropriate medical treatment within the scope of practice for an RN. Document and coordinate external transfers via MOT for patients experiencing a medical emergency in intake. Indirect report by CNO. Other duties as assigned. Benefit Highlights
