We are seeking a detail‑oriented and technically skilled
MyChart Clinical Application Analyst
to join our
Digital Technology Services (DTS)
team at Deaconess Health System. In this role, you will support and enhance MyChart, Deaconess' patient portal, ensuring that the application aligns with both operational and clinical workflows. You will work closely with clinical and technical teams to ensure MyChart provides a seamless, user‑friendly experience for patients and staff, improving patient engagement and overall care.

Job Overview The
MyChart Clinical Application Analyst
will focus on supporting, optimizing, and enhancing the MyChart patient portal and related clinical systems. You will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and optimization of MyChart to ensure it meets the needs of both patients and clinical staff. This role will require extensive collaboration with other application analysts, clinical teams, and IT professionals to ensure a seamless integration between MyChart and other clinical systems.
As a MyChart SME (Subject Matter Expert), you will provide training and support, lead troubleshooting efforts, and manage application upgrades and improvements. Additionally, you will work closely with other teams to define workflows and improve functionality for MyChart.
What You Will Do
System Administration and Support:
Manage and maintain MyChart to meet organizational needs and ensure it supports efficient clinical workflows.
Configuration and Optimization:
Configure MyChart’s features to meet department needs, including patient communication, appointment scheduling, and health record access.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
Respond to escalated issues and provide troubleshooting support for MyChart and its integration with other clinical systems.
Project Management:
Lead or participate in MyChart‑related projects such as system upgrades, new functionality, and integration with other healthcare applications.
Training and Education:
Provide training to end‑users, including clinical staff and patients, on how to navigate and utilize MyChart features effectively.
Workflow Analysis:
Work closely with clinical teams to analyze and recommend improvements to workflows that involve MyChart and patient engagement.
Documentation and Testing:
Develop and maintain documentation for system changes, upgrades, and best practices. Participate in testing of new features or system updates.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure smooth integration between MyChart and other applications like Epic, Cerner, and other healthcare systems.
Compliance and Security:
Ensure that MyChart complies with healthcare regulations, security standards, and organizational policies (e.g., HIPAA).
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve MyChart functionality, ease of use, and overall impact on patient engagement.
What You Will Need Education
Bachelor’s Degree in
Information Technology, Healthcare, or a related field — Required
Certification(s) in relevant clinical applications
(e.g., Epic, MyChart, etc.) — Preferred
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience
in supporting clinical applications, particularly MyChart or similar patient portal systems
— Required
Experience with Epic MyChart or similar systems
— Preferred
Experience in healthcare IT
or working in a clinical setting
— Preferred
