Title: Lab Technician C
Position Objective: Responsible for the accurate testing and analysis of all film products in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
A two-year technical degree or 4-year college degree along with a strong background in chemistry is desired and would be a plus
Good computer skills
Weekends and evening work are required
Have the ability to analyze data
Consistency and meticulous attention to detail is necessary for providing both repeatability and reproducibility in testing
Lab experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions
Job Responsibilities:
Understand Plant Safety Rules and Practices
Basic principles of thickness testing
Basic treatment testing
Basic principles of all other offline lab testing
Able to fill out required shift paperwork and reports
Record electronically stored data into databases
Complete basic quality checks for roll fitness for use and proper grading per work instructions
Demonstrate basic troubleshooting skills and communicate well with Production
Work Environment Conditions:
Manufacturing Environment
Ability to work in varying temperatures (cold and hot)
Loud noise
