Responsibilities
Answer all phone calls coming into the main line.
Greet and meet customers within.
Complete all public records as assigned and answer all emails.
Research information in various County databases.
Check customer's paperwork for completeness, explain requirements, and assist with completion of application.
Check site plan for setbacks and other distances with the use of an engineer scale.
Explain zoning and the use that applies per the ordinance to the customer.
Enter application information into the computer system with customer.
Make copies of the application and the site plan to ensure the other departments see the customer.
Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, customer records, and restricted County information.
Acts as a lead position to Customer Service Specialist position.
Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Three (3) years of progressively responsible general office and clerical experience.
Arizona residents
must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License upon hire;
newly established Arizona Residents must have one
within 30 days of hire.
Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience may substitute for the minimum requirements.
Skills
Knowledge of Business English, spelling, and arithmetic.
Knowledge of clerical and office practices and procedures.
Skill in using data processing systems and other office equipment and machines.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public.
Physical Demands The work is sedentary requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. The work also requires the ability to finger, perform repetitive motion, hear, speak, and demonstrate mental and visual acuity.
Work Environment Work is performed in a safe and secure work environment that may periodically have unpredicted requirements or demands.
