Private Equity Value Creation

team in our

CxO Advisory

practice.

This position is considered remote and does not require duties to be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. However, as a remote employee, you may be required to be present at an office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or training.

YOUR TEAM CohnReznick’s CxO group offers our clients an extensive array of executive advisory (OCFO, OCOO, OCIO), digital and process transformation, and automation enablement services to adapt to the rapidly changing business environment. Our client focus is mid‑market, and you will be exposed to a variety of industries including tech, consumer, manufacturing & distribution, real estate, hospitality, private equity, and renewable energy, to name a few.

YOUR ROLE Responsibilities

Contribute in growing the practice and developing our playbooks, frameworks, and templates for scalable delivery.

Help refine the operating system and assessment tools used across clients.

Lead workstreams across Rapid Assessments, 100‑Day Plan Support, and transformation projects.

Conduct interviews, analyze processes, and synthesize findings into actionable recommendations.

Build and deliver client‑ready materials including scorecards, roadmaps, and reporting packages.

Manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables across multiple engagements.

Coordinate with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution.

Track progress and proactively elevate risks or blockers.

Assess finance org maturity, reporting cadence, technology landscape, and process effectiveness.

Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and revenue cycle.

Partner with FDD, transaction, and technology teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Support cross‑selling efforts by identifying client needs and introducing relevant services and subject matter experts.

Build trusted relationships with PE sponsors and portfolio company leadership.

Serve as a day‑to‑day contact and thought partner during engagements.

Mentor junior team members and support onboarding.

Foster a culture of ownership, learning, and results.

Your Experience The successful candidate will have:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred.

5+ years of experience in management consulting, private equity operations, or corporate transformation.

Experience working with PE‑backed or founder‑led businesses strongly preferred.

Advanced Excel skills (modeling, analysis, dashboards).

Strong PowerPoint skills (executive‑level presentations, storyboarding).

Familiarity with ERP, CRM, HRIS, and other business applications.

Exposure to BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and workflow automation platforms a plus.

Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and reporting processes.

Ability to assess and improve finance operations, org design, SOPs, and overall execution rhythm.

Comfort working in environments with limited structure and high ambiguity.

CFA, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or process improvement credentials a plus.

Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel out‑of‑town to clients as required.

Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and root‑cause determination skills.

Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Strong project management with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a team‑oriented environment.

Action‑oriented, decisive approach to work required, with the willingness to take a hands‑on role to ensure deliverables are met on time.

High ownership mindset and bias for execution.
