Position Overview Millennium Health & Fitness (MHF) is seeking highly capable Logistics Specialists to support the Special Warfare Training Wing (SWTW) at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. These positions are responsible for coordinating and executing the full spectrum of logistics functions associated with the Special Warfare Training Pipeline, including acquisition, distribution, inventory management, resource allocation, and lifecycle sustainment of critical training equipment and materials. The Logistics Specialist plays a key role in ensuring training readiness and supporting the success of developing the Air Force’s elite Special Warfare Airmen. The position requires coordination with military and civilian personnel, vendors, and leadership while operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
This is a mission-critical role supporting the training and readiness foundation of the Air Force’s Special Warfare Airmen. Individuals who are disciplined, proactive, and committed to excellence are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Serve as a primary logistics point of contact for program operations
Analyze logistics transactions, trends, and complex supply activities to resolve discrepancies and support mission needs
Conduct research to identify inventory patterns, transaction errors, and failures and provide findings to leadership
Provide supply support for production, repair, and operational equipment requiring specialized handling
Review requisitions and documentation to determine priority status and expedite critical deliveries
Determine stock levels for recurring and specialized items based on usage, demand, and mission requirements
Complete procurement documentation, such as Government Purchase Card (GPC), FMQ, and Military Interdepartmental Purchase Request (MIPR)
Prepare recurring and special logistics reports, compile statistics, and analyze logistics performance trends
Support audits, inspections, and leadership readiness briefings
Use automated logistics and office software systems to process data, generate reports, and maintain records
Distribute, manage, and maintain student and training inventory, including medical gear, training equipment, gym gear, student gear, and issue gear
Ensure students receive required equipment and maintain accurate inventory accountability
Assist in planning, coordinating, and evaluating logistics and supply actions
Recommend and manage inventory levels to align with training program requirements
Assist with programming, management, and execution of logistics resources
Identify facility or equipment concerns and notify leadership
Operate government vehicles, forklifts, and material handling equipment as required
Maintain and update student and course databases, attendance records, and reporting files
Provide general office and administrative support including data calls, memos, and communication management
Required Education and Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum three years of experience performing Logistics Specialist or similar duties
Working knowledge of logistics planning, funding, and management information systems
Knowledge of acquisition processes, automated records, inventory control systems, and material handling procedures
Proficiency with computers, email, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong written and oral communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Must possess or have the ability to obtain a forklift certification
Must be a U.S. citizen
Must proficiently speak and write English
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with DoD/Air Force logistics terminology and procedures
Ability to operate government vehicles and logistics support equipment
Work Expectations Ability to thrive in a dynamic training environment, adapt to rapidly changing requirements, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and maintain a mission-focused mindset supporting operational readiness.
