Base pay range $75.00/yr - $85.00/yr

Lumber Buyer . The ideal candidate understands lumber markets, grades, and species specific to truss production and can balance cost control with production needs.
Responsibilities
Purchase lumber and truss-related materials to support production schedules and inventory requirements
Source and negotiate with lumber mills, wholesalers, and vendors to secure competitive pricing and reliable supply
Monitor lumber markets, pricing trends, and availability to make informed buying decisions
Collaborate with truss designers, production managers, and yard staff on material requirements and substitutions
Maintain accurate purchasing records
Requirements
The minimum work week to consist of Monday-Friday.
Normal hours 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Additional hours may be required at times to meet deadlines
Knowledge of basic building concepts and math calculations
Experience in purchasing, construction, or lumber/building supply industry
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
