Overview
St. Augustine High School is accepting applications for two ENGLISH LANGUAGE INSTRUCTORS for the 2026-2027 school year. One position is English 10 and the other is a blend of AP English Language and traditional English Language studies. Responsibilities
Teach high school English and Advanced Placement English Language. Provide normal supervisory duties and participate in faculty and related meetings as may be required. Develop positive communication with staff, students, administration and community. Provide the appropriate learning atmosphere and activities designed to maximize student competencies and skills for intellectual, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual growth. Be a Christian role model for students and comply with the educational philosophy of St. Augustine High School. Qualifications
Possesses a degree from an accredited four-year institution with a major or strong minor in English and the ability to teach at the high school level. Has knowledge of the educational materials and methods for teaching English at the secondary level. An expertise in teaching writing to the high school learner. Demonstrates a personal commitment to the philosophy of a Catholic education. Secondary teaching credential and/or Master’s degree desired. Experience teaching Advanced Placement English Language or Literature. Contact
