Position Summary As a High School Math & Science Teacher at The Sage School of Dallas, you will design and deliver innovative, high‑quality instruction in mathematics and science that meets the diverse academic and developmental needs of 2e learners. You will partner with colleagues to create a supportive, engaging classroom where students are challenged with rigorous content while feeling encouraged and understood.

Key Responsibilities

Instruction:

Plan and teach high school math and science courses (e.g., Algebra, Geometry, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or interdisciplinary STEM), using differentiated and student‑centered strategies that support diverse learners.

Personalization:

Adapt curriculum and instruction to meet individual student needs, strengths, and learning profiles.

Assessment & Growth:

Design and administer formative and summative assessments; use data to adjust instruction and support student progress.

Classroom Environment:

Create a respectful, inclusive, and structured environment promoting curiosity, critical thinking, and resilience.

Collaboration:

Work with faculty, administrators, and support staff to align learning experiences, share best practices, and contribute to the school’s mission.

Communication:

Maintain regular, proactive communication with students and families about progress, goals, and needs.

School Community:

Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and initiatives that support overall school culture and mission.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mathematics, Science, Education, or related field.

Teaching certification or eligibility for certification in Texas.

Strong content knowledge in both math and science disciplines.

Experience teaching high school math and science.

Experience working with gifted, neurodiverse, or twice-exceptional learners.

Familiarity with innovative instructional practices and educational technology.

Interest in contributing to interdisciplinary and project‑based learning opportunities.

Experience with differentiated instruction and student‑centered teaching approaches.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to fostering a growth mindset and supporting students’ academic and social‑emotional development.
