Position Objective Duties include new equipment and process development, implementation, and verification/validation support; existing equipment and process refinement and troubleshooting; tool, fixture, and gage design, fabrication, implementation, and verification/validation support; and R&D prototype fabrication.

Responsibilities

Support the development, testing and implementation of manufacturing processes. These can include new or existing, single systems.

Responsible for analyzing Equipment and Process related problems (debug) as assigned and implementing solutions.

Responsible for overseeing Engineering Projects that are relatively simple in scope.

Work jointly with Engineering, Production, Quality Control and Quality Assurance to assure assigned processes consistently produce acceptable components or subassemblies according to applicable drawings, specifications and procedures.

Assist Engineering in selecting vendors for component manufacturing operations.

Design and develop tools, fixtures and gages to facilitate manufacturing operations.

Fabricate prototypes for new products in design and development.

Additional Responsibilities

Stay current with various material removal, inspection, and manufacturing systems technologies and philosophies.

Provide various component cycle time estimates for product costing.

Perform additional duties that may be assigned by Supervisor.

Relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions: (a) can get along with co-workers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremes; (b) perform work activities requiring instructing, persuading or speaking with others; and (c) respond appropriately to criticism from a supervisor.

Manage time effectively; prioritize and make good business judgments and decisions in relationship to efficiency.

Qualifications

Two years of Manufacturing and/or Engineering experience.

General knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing; manufacturing processing and inspection techniques; and project justification/scheduling.

Ability to fabricate prototypes for new products, fixtures and tools.

Ability to successfully perform job duties in a fast pace, quick changing entrepreneurial environment.

Ability to read, analyze, interpret and follow written instructions.

Ability to interpret and follow oral instructions.

Required to read, write and speak English with good command of the language, and use simple math.

Basic computer skills including at minimum, be adept in use of MS Office, internet, and electronic mail.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
