Description
The Clinic Supervisor manages and coordinates the daily operations and staff at the assigned clinic, ensuring exceptional patient care and service in collaboration with the Practice Manager and/or Clinic Operations Director/VPs. This role ensures compliance with all regulatory standards and internal policies and procedures. The Clinic Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining efficient clinic operations while providing vital support to clinic staff, including Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
Requirements
Supervises assigned staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, adhering to necessary forms and procedures.
Supports clinic workflow and scheduling to meet productivity standards.
Implements clinic policies and procedures consistently and promptly.
Assists in evaluating employee performance, recommending merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions, and participates in staff interviews, training, and orientation.
Ensures office space and supplies are properly provided and maintained.
Attends required meetings and participates in committees as needed.
Ensures that personnel forms and records are updated and submitted to relevant departments in a timely manner.
Supports the onboarding process to ensure new staff are properly equipped and ready.
Coordinates staff activities and serves as a resource to medical management teams across various markets.
Assists in collecting clinic performance and quality metrics, preparing reports for management.
Orders and maintains adequate stock of office and medical supplies at all times.
Collaborates with Operations leadership in budget preparation and ensuring budget adherence.
Coordinates conference calls and helps prepare for meetings with medical management staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Education, Experience & Skills
1 year in a supervisory role
2 years in a customer service role
2 years of clinic operations or healthcare experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
Knowledge of organization policies and procedures and ability to apply principles to solve everyday problems in a variety of situations
Knowledge of office management techniques and practices
Skill in gathering, analyzing, and evaluating data
Skill in written and verbal communication
Ability to exercise initiative, problem solving, decision-making
Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities
Good communication and customer service skills
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills
Current State Vocational Nurse License or LPN
Professional healthcare license or certification preferred
Key physical and mental requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to push or pull heavy objects using up to 50 pounds of force
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to use fine motor skills to operate office equipment and/or machinery
Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing
Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solving
