POSITION SUMMARY The RT Clinical Supervisor provides patient-centered, specialized, evidence-based respiratory care across the continuum through an interprofessional approach to treatment, research, education, and advocacy. Contributes to the goals of the Department by being accountable for the delivery of compassionate and safe care within the scope of practice as defined by the Florida Board of Respiratory Care and JHACH policy. Through collaborative practice with all members of the care team, is responsible for patient outcomes that meet the high quality of care provided by JHACH. The professional practice of Respiratory Therapy at JHACH involves the promotion of a culture of innovation and a commitment to academic growth and professional development.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Utilizes evidence-based practice and unit-specific competencies to assess the physical condition and respiratory needs of patients and develop a plan of care in a collaborative practice with the inter-professional team.
Monitors compliance with standards of care by observation, verbal reports, audits and written documentation, provides feedback to staff, educators, managers, and the senior director of nursing.
Demonstrates emotional intelligence and confidence, maintains composure during conflict; acts with integrity and sets a positive example at all times.
Provides input and supports the Clinical Manager/Senior Director of Nursing in interviewing, hiring employees, appraisal performance, mentoring, motivating, coaching, and retention of employees.
Acts strategically, understands and can manage change, assists team members through transitions; advocates for all stakeholders to meet strategic goals and assist staff in understanding how their day‑to‑day jobs link to organizational strategy.
Plans for the respiratory care needs of the patient in collaboration with the inter‑professional team to provide the highest quality of care and clinical outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree Required
Current Florida Respiratory Therapist Licensure, current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Graduate of a Registered Respiratory Therapy Program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)
3 years of neonatal/pediatric critical intensive care experience
Current BLS/PALS certification from the American Heart Association
Current NRP certification if working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Current Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)

SALARY RANGE Minimum 36.52/hour - Maximum 58.44/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
