Our mission of the Louisiana Veterans Homes is to serve the Veteran population of Louisiana through the provision of nursing assistant supervisor services in an atmosphere of respect and compassion.
Lead worker over CNA's to assure quality care and safety for our veterans and assist and reports to the Nursing Assistant Supervisor 2 when needed.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in patient care; or
Possession of a current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate or graduation from an Emergency Medical Technician Program plus two years of experience in patient care; or
Completion of an accredited registered or practical nursing program plus one year of experience in patient care.
NOTE: Positions at facilities receiving certain Medicaid or Medicare funds require that applicants possess a current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate.

Job Duties
Nursing operations , includes supervision and care of one of four care units, ensuring coverage and high-quality resident care in a 156-bed long-term facility.
Leads and evaluates CNA staff performance , provides feedback to the Nursing Assistant Supervisor 2, recommends disciplinary actions when needed, and conflict resolution.
Quality Assurance , promoting continuous improvement in nursing assistant care, delivery and adherence to policy and procedure standards.
Reports resident complaints and incidents , collaborating with Nursing Assistant Supervisor 2 to ensure care and resident safety.
Nursing Assistant Services , escorts/transports patients to examinations, clinics, recreation sites and other areas as needed.

Compensation:
This position is eligible for Special Entrance Rate for Nursing Assistant Supervisor 1 – $1,191.80 BI-WEEKLY / $14.89 PER HOUR, shift differential and
Premium Pay
of $5.00/HR for hours worked only.
Work Schedule:
6 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m. shifts to include every other weekend and some holidays.
