Jasser Center for Comprehensive Care has an exciting opportunity for a Pre‑Med/Pre‑Health Student to join our practice and work directly for Dr. Jasser primarily as a Lead Medical Scribe with additional duties as a Back Office Supervisor and Executive Assistant.

We are seeking a motivated pre‑medical or pre‑health student to join our independent Primary Care practice as a Lead Medical Scribe, Back Office Supervisor, and Executive Assistant to Dr. Jasser.

This full‑time position provides direct clinical patient experience with the lead physician in an established, very busy, primary care and nuclear cardiology practice in central Phoenix. This lead scribe will need to have at least 1–2 years of experience in previously supporting providers in real‑time, accurate medical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) (eClinical Works). This position is ideal for students planning to apply to medical school, PA school, or other healthcare graduate programs and also for students or employees seeking direct experience in medical leadership with a primary care provider engaged in a number of leadership roles in patient care in Maricopa County.

Responsibilities

Document comprehensive patient encounters, enter physician orders in real time during in-person and telehealth visits.

Capture in real-time comprehensive care histories, review of systems, physical exam findings, assessments, and plans.

Update problem lists, medications, and past medical history as directed.

Assist providers by preparing medical charts prior to visits and locating labs, imaging, and prior records.

Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant documentation.

Maintain strict HIPAA and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

Current pre‑med, pre‑PA, or pre‑health student (or gap year applicant).

Strong typing skills (min 50 wpm) and strict attention to detail. High computer literacy and high level of comfort with software.

Ability to learn medical terminology and primary care medical reasoning quickly.

Professional, dependable, and organized.

Comfortable in a fast‑paced outpatient and executive setting.

Preferred

Prior medical scribe or clinical experience at least 1–2 years.

Familiarity with EHR systems (eClinical Works).

Interest in primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine.
