As an ARMHS Behavioral Health Practitioner you will work with adults in our ARMHS (Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services Team) and provide community-based services to an at-need population. The purpose of the programs is to help individuals who have a mental illness function independently in their homes or places of residence. Services are provided in four areas: Basic Living and Social Skills, Community Intervention, Medication Education, and Transitioning to Community Living. We are looking for a compassionate individual who wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the clients we serve.
Responsibilities
Provide culturally responsive mental health skills to clients and/or their families in the home or community.
Assist clients in identifying goals for functional improvement and work with them to meet those goals.
Design and implement treatment/intervention in-home reflective of client needs.

Requirements
In order to be considered for this position, you must be qualified in at least one of the following ways:
Meet the Behavioral Health Practitioner requirements as per MN State Statute 245I.04.04, which include:
Hold a Master’s degree or other graduate degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields AND 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of mental health services to people with mental illness
Candidates who have completed a practicum or internship that requires direct interaction with adults or children served, and is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields may qualify and are encouraged to apply regardless of whether they have 2000 hours of experience
Have 4,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of mental health services to people with mental illness
Meet the Clinical Trainee requirements per MN State Statute 245I.04.06:
Has completed an accredited graduate program of study to prepare the staff person for independent licensure as a mental health professional
Meet the Mental Health Professional requirements per MN State Statute 245I.04.02:
Licensed as a LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, or LP in Minnesota
Additional Requirements
Desire to work with children and families and/or adults in their homes; this includes walking, stairs, and the ability to crouch, stoop, sit on floors, and stand for periods of time.
Ability to work independently; valid driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable vehicle; ability to drive a minimum of a 30-mile radius around primary clinic location.
Must be proficient in the use of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
If interested in working with adults, must be able to meet with them during general daytime hours.
Compensation: $22-$23 per hour.
