Laboratory Technician I - Oligo Synthesis
Location: Indianapolis, IN • Shift: Monday‑Friday 2:30‑11:00 PM EST • Salary: $16.50‑$20.50 per hour (estimated).

Responsibilities
Receive and sort incoming orders using established workflows.
Independently operate laboratory equipment including pipettes, automated liquid handlers, spectrophotometers, mass spectrometers, and centrifuges.
Follow SOPs accurately and precisely.
Follow safety procedures and handle chemical reagents and glassware.
Restock lab supplies and maintain a clean work area.
Prepare, package, and ship orders to customers.
Perform QC workflows for oligo synthesis orders.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma required.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field preferred.
At least 6 months of work experience in a fast‑paced laboratory environment preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping ability.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Prior experience with pipettes, liquid handling systems, UV spectrophotometer, or mass spectrometer preferred.
Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, etc.).
Physical ability to lift 40 pounds, read small fonts, reach, bend, and use manual tools.
Ability to work in an area with hazardous chemicals and use personal protective equipment.
