Pay:
Salary Pay: $54,200 - $67,700 annually (depending on experience, license, knowledge and education).
Essential Functions
Provides direct supervision to assigned staff: guidance, hiring assistance, training, motivation, evaluation, staff training coordination, performance correction, discipline procedures.
Performs related administrative responsibilities: reviews and maintains monthly/quarterly reports, records, phone/email response, attends trainings and meetings, communicates with agencies/departments/vendors, consults with county agencies and supportive services.
Assures fiscal accountability of all assigned programs and services; enhances and maintains organizational processes; assists in realistic budget development with Finance; ensures billing compliance; resolves fiscal problems promptly.
Develops detailed project plans and logic models to define and monitor program goals and strategic initiatives; adapts programs to better serve community needs.
Ensures integrity of program and service delivery, compliance and evaluation; adapts to changing compliance standards; maintains compliance with internal standards, contracts, grants, licensing, regulatory and accreditation standards (ODJFS, ODE, County, Council on Accreditation, EAGLE Accreditation, NAEYC, SUTQ, State/County HMG, Medicaid, ODMH, GAAP).
Assumes a leadership role in interpreting and supporting agency policies (HR, PR, Communications), implements best practice standards, and develops/implements outcome measures for quality service.
Develops therapeutic relationships with clients; provides individual, group or family therapy as needed.
Maintains frequent contact with Care Manager or with client’s parents to update progress and provide minor case‑management functions when Care Manager is absent.
Assumes strong advocacy for clients and recommends clinical and support services at discharge.
Effectively interfaces with and influences all agency levels and external organizations.
May be involved in planning, organizing, and implementing special events or departmental projects or seasonal program changes.
Maintains minimal productivity level and confidentiality of client interactions within agency standards; maintains reliable attendance; demonstrates positivity, flexibility, willingness to take on new responsibilities; promotes a team‑based work environment; presents the agency positively in internal and external contacts.
Required Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of human behavior, performance, learning, motivation, psychological research, and assessment/ treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
Knowledge of diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of emotional and mental dysfunctions; group dynamics; societal trends; ethnicity, culture, and history.
Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and procedures.
Knowledge of English language structure, composition rules, grammar, spelling.
Computer literacy: Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, basic database usage, moderate typing, operation of computerized office equipment.
Strong critical thinking and communication skills for problem solving and interaction with staff, external agencies, and families.
Ability to delegate, manage people, and evaluate staff and programs.
Exceptional customer‑service skills (office setting).
Excellent problem solving, time‑management, organizational skills, attention to detail.
Performance/Physical Requirements
Work environment: community including agency office, school‑based setting, childcare, client homes; involves walking, standing, bending, stooping, lifting up to 30 lbs, remaining stationary 50% of time.
Flexible hours (days, evenings, weekends); available for crisis management by phone.
Must drive frequently between agency office, schools, community locations, participant homes.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work or related training in Psychology or Counseling with an Ohio LISW‑S or PCC‑S required. LISW‑S or PCC‑S with 3 years post‑independent license experience preferred.
Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR), Evolv preferred.
Valid Ohio Driver’s License with safeness driving record and valid insurance.
Ability to pass a physical exam and drug screening.
