Responsibilities Assist in maintaining the overall scientific integrity of an NIH-funded study. The RN II will work directly with potential participants to determine eligibility (recruitment) and with enrolled participants in a study that seeks to improve current and future chronic illness management among adults and their caregivers (Care Partners) in medically underserved and rural areas of South Carolina. The RN II will provide oversight of the intervention in collaboration with the intervention team, ensuring compliance with the study protocol, operating policies and procedures, study timelines, and applicable institutional IRB policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Applicant must have considerable knowledge and skills in the application of the techniques and practice of the nursing profession, as well as knowledge regarding community health research.

Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be able to interact with all levels of personnel in an academic and community setting.

Ability to establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with other employees and service areas, and appropriately respond to emergency situations.

Ability to multitask a variety of functions.

Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.

Valid SC Driver’s license.

Flexible schedule; some evenings/weekends may be necessary to meet project deliverables.

Highly proficient with REDCAP and in Microsoft Office.
