Registered Nurse (RN) Home Health - Multiple Locations Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm, As Needed. Teams are assigned specific territories following offer and orientation, with a clear process for requesting territory changes as opportunities arise.

Job Summary The Registered Nurse’s primary function is to plan, provide, supervise and coordinate care to patients with an array of injuries, diseases, and compromised health states. The RN delivers comprehensive skilled nursing services to qualified patients in their homes, working independently with minimal daily supervision while performing interdependent practice in the field.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Experience:

One (1) year of professional nursing experience in an acute care setting is preferred. Home health experience is desired.

Licensure/Certification:

New grad RNs with a BON temporary work authorization must obtain an RN license within 90 days of hire. All other RNs must be currently licensed as an RN in the state of South Carolina or hold a current compact/multi-state license recognized by the NCSBN Compact and not a permanent resident of SC. Must have a current AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.

Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates comprehensive physical assessment skills. Implements the nursing process and teaching principles. Demonstrates good organizational and time management techniques. Competency in specialty areas (IV therapy, pediatrics, etc.) may be required.

Other:

Valid South Carolina driver’s license with good driving record. Must be insurable under Roper St. Francis Healthcare vehicle insurance plan.

Work Demands/Environment Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs, use of finger/hand dexterity, reaching with hands/arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling. Frequent driving, exposure to blood/body fluids, infectious materials, hazardous substances. Work under stressful conditions, deadlines, irregular hours; may require call duties, weekends/holidays. Requires reading comprehension, corrected hearing and vision.
