Speech-Language Pathologist - Full-Time/W2 Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

– Fredericksburg, VA

On-Site | Full-Time | W-2 Employee

Location: Fredericksburg, VA

Schedule: Full-Time, On-Site

Daily Hours: 7.5-hour workday plus a 30-minute lunch

Pay: $40–$45 per hour, based on experience

Grade Levels: K–5

Caseload: Approximately 50 students

Employment Type: W-2

License: Virginia SLP license required

CFY candidates encouraged to apply

Part-time summer hours available

Responsibilities

Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations. Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.

Treatment and Education: Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders; monitor and adjust treatment plans; educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Collaboration: Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.

Qualifications

Required Education: Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Required Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible.

Required Certification: Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist; certification from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC‑SLP).

Skills: Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
