We’re looking for an attentive Lab Technician to join our Lab Department team for a 12 hour 3 day work shift within our Ypsilanti Plant at 775 James L Hart Parkway.
The Lab Technician ensures ticket security for clients through rigorous and reliable testing to provide precise and accurate reports on product security conformance according to company and customer specifications.

What You’ll Do
Ensures security testing and reporting is completed according to schedule and standards in place at the time
Conducts full security evaluation on new instant games or games with production changes
Performs Lab tests – collects samples, reviews and understands specification requirements, conducts tests on finished product, customer samples, new game, vending, instant, break open, live roll, etc., in accordance with methods in place at the time; records test results
Complete and distribute Lab Inspection reports as needed
Collects, accounts for, labels and files start/end and other books and tickets, evaluates and voids as per standards
Collect, test and send out external lab testing books
Prepare and send out detailed reports to the customers and outside labs
Approve raw materials
Stocks lab resources and materials
Clean, measure, evaluate and record anilox rollers
Adheres to all safety procedures and safe work practices
Other duties as assigned
Who You Are
Ability to work effectively both individually and in a team‑oriented environment
Ability to read and interpret detailed game specifications
Ability to lift to 50 pounds
Able to stand and walk for long periods of time
Demonstrated ability to produce accurate work
Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and maintain productivity to meet production deadlines
Demonstrated ability to keep a clean and ordered work environment
Willingness to cross train and assist in training others
What You’ll Bring
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to read and interpret detailed game specifications
Proficient in, and comfortable working with a computer, including Microsoft Suite and willingness to learn Pollard Banknote software
Demonstrated attention to detail and possesses manual dexterity
Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate in writing and verbally with other departments and management
Understanding of and consistent adherence to Health & Safety, Quality and Security standards
Experience finding and using information in the MSDS database
