Completes pre, intra and post procedure nursing assessment according to unit policy Documents assessments accurately in a clear and concise manner The employee, through performance, has demonstrated competency (i.e., knowledge, skills and the ability to respond to age specific needs of the patient – physical, mental, emotional and developmental). Notifies physician of changes in cardiac / pulmonary status Develops a plan of care for procedure being performed. Provides teaching and guidance to patient and/or family as well as staff members. RN administers graded exercise testing studies. Communicates well with all patient team care members. Demonstrates leadership skills. Assists other Cardiology departments and nursing units Fiscally responsible Position Summary The Stress Lab/EKG Staff Nurse plans, delivers and evaluates nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of the Director and/or designee. Functions as a team leader and facilitator providing communications with other health team members in the Stress Lab. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned. Experience: One year hospital nursing experience with strong Cardiology background Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Licensed Registered Nurse, State of Florida Current BLS certification ACLS within 6 months of hire/transfer E-Verify: http://www.uscis.gov/e-verify Employment practices will not be influenced or affected by an applicant’s or employee’s race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status or any other legally protected status.
