3:00pm - 11:30pm, includes every other weekend

Job Summary The Environmental Service Supervisor is responsible for all Housekeeping operations. Responsibilities include assisting in setting measurable goals and standards that achieve excellent quality, patient, and associate satisfaction results; controlling expense cost by monitoring supply usage and inventory levels to achieve financial goals set by the Service Line Director; developing a stable, competent work force and encouraging personal growth of all personnel through periodic evaluations and review; establishing a positive working relationship with all EVS Associates, Engineering, Safety, Infection Control and all Clinical Managers through daily rounding. Perform additional duties as assigned by Manager or Chief Administrator Officer.

Minimum Qualifications Education:

At least a High School diploma or GED. Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree Preferred.

Experience:

Two years' supervisory experience required; healthcare supervisory experience preferred or 4 years of internal healthcare environmental services experience.

Knowledge/Skills:

Excellent Customer Service skills: written and verbal communications, telephone etiquette; Basic computer skills including spreadsheet, word processing, HBOC and job related software. Proficient in handling all types of transports, proper body mechanics. Professional and neat appearance required to project a positive image of Roper St. Francis Healthcare. Must maintain strict confidentiality of all work-related information.

Other:

Constant standing, frequent walking, lifting/moving or carrying up to 25 lbs, pushing or pulling up to 25 lbs, use of finger/hand dexterity, constant reaching with hands/arms, intermittent stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. Corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Possible exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, toxic substances, biohazardous materials and other healthcare environment conditions. Constant exposure to wet or humid conditions, frequent exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, intermittent exposure to risk of electrical shock. Moderate to loud noise level. Requires hand-eye coordination.
