Supervisor, Cardiovascular Patient Care Services – Carolina Arrhythmia

position.

Location:

897 Von Kolnitz, Suite 101, Mount Pleasant, SC 29466. This role rotates among Moncks Corner, Mount Pleasant, and West Ashley office locations.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

Cardiac device experience strongly preferred.

Primary Function / General Purpose:

Provides direct and indirect patient care in assigned areas using current clinical knowledge. Utilizes advanced knowledge to assess patients’ health needs, collaborates with the healthcare team, anticipates outcomes, and sets criteria for quality patient care. Offers patient and staff education, clinical supervision, and oversees unit/specialty-based activities such as quality improvement and in‑service education. Participates in unit management activities including staff interviewing, scheduling, FTE requisitions, budgeting, counseling, Kronos, and assumes increasing leadership responsibility. Serves adult and geriatric populations.

Essential Job Functions

Directs patient care in assigned area(s) and supervises all assigned staff.

Facilitates efficiency, reduces turnover time, maximizes resource efficiency, and facilitates add‑ons.

Monitors supplies and maintains equipment; facilitates special orders.

Collaborates with physicians and other clinical departments, Engineering, BioMed, Supply Chain, and Environmental Services to meet departmental needs.

Provides daily and bi‑weekly productivity reporting; makes staffing adjustments to optimize productivity and efficiency.

Completes employee counseling and performance reviews; demonstrates advanced communication skills.

Applies effective conflict resolution skills.

Uses diplomacy when dealing with employees, physicians, and others.

Communicates effectively across lines with staff, customers, and suppliers.

Available for on‑call and additional duty in emergency situations and staffing shortages.

Evaluates procedures, policies, and equipment for compatibility with current technology and research; assists in developing and revising policies and procedures at the unit and departmental level in collaboration with the Perioperative TJC QI Associate.

Licensing / Certification:

BLS Basic Life Support (required).

Education:

Associate degree in business, health care administration, nursing, or a related field (preferred).

Experience:

2 years supervisory experience (preferred). Multiple years of experience in a medical setting (preferred).
