Position Summary The position is on-site in Yolo County with primary offices at the Davis Service Center (316 L Street, Davis, CA) and the Woodland Service Center (50 Kentucky Ave., Woodland, CA). The role supports the Electric Operations Distribution Maintenance and Construction team, overseeing safety compliance, regulatory requirements, and crew productivity across the service territory.

Salary Range California Minimum: $125,000 – California Maximum: $215,000.

Responsibilities

Embodies and leads safe behaviors, fostering a speak‑up, listen‑up, and follow‑up culture.

Facilitates or leads weekly team meetings/safety tailboards and conducts training as needed.

Visits work sites at least 50% of the time to monitor progress and employee performance.

Ensures customer expectations are met with clear, professional, and proactive communication.

Ensures maintenance and construction work is completed safely, on time, and within budget and quality expectations.

Completes and maintains all work documentation or reporting.

Identifies and reacts to complex field decisions, using technical knowledge to move forward quickly, considering cost, risk, safety, quality, and customer impact.

Monitors crew productivity to use resources effectively.

Builds constructive peer relationships; treats direct reports equitably and provides positive feedback.

Responds to emergencies and outages; may serve as a field leader during major emergency activations.

Supervises staff, including bargaining unit employees, managing recruitment, training, performance, and rewards.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

Valid California Class C driver’s license by first day of employment.

Minimum of five years of relevant experience in engineering, manufacturing, construction, field maintenance operations, or related electric utility experience.

Desired Qualifications

Travel 10%–50% of the time, including occasional overnight stays.

Flexible schedule, on‑call availability, and readiness to respond to emergencies.

Experience working in remote, steep, or inclement weather conditions.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

Previous electric utility industry experience; journeyman lineman preferred.

Knowledge of California Public Utility Commission General Orders 95, 128, 165.

Project management skills; T‑300 supervisors require strong project management for larger construction projects.

Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook.

Customer service orientation, communication skills, initiative, and problem‑solving.

Knowledge of bargaining unit contracts.

Demonstrated commitment to safety standards and continuous process improvement.

Leadership experience with cross‑functional teams and bargaining unit personnel.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

Experience using business metrics to motivate performance.

Advanced leadership and presentation skills.

Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
