The Mobility Logistics Program Management (LPM) organization provides comprehensive fleet management services for all fielded F117 engines and will support F139 (KC46 Tanker) sustainment when that program matures. The F117 LPM manages the overhaul and repair of all removed engines and also provides support for the engines installed on the 275 C-17 aircraft operated by the USAF and international air force customers.
The selected candidate will be a member of the F117 LPM Technical Management Team, whose mission is to provide the highest level of technical support to ensure sound engine configuration management policies leading to superior fleet operational performance through digital tools (F117 Atlas & Maintenix), dashboards, and automation.
What Will You Do
Manage and continue to build upon the F117 Atlas application (web-based tool) to aid LPM and depot personnel in management of F117 maintenance, including necessary functionality to eliminate the need for MS Access databases
For updated/new F117 Atlas features, define requirements that will be flowed to the contractor and perform validation testing on the updates delivered by the contractor
Manage the flow of F117 maintenance data from engine depots. This data resides primarily in Maintenix Atlas (web-based tool), and Access databases
Provide technical support, as well as project management for contractor technical support, for break/fix as well as proactive maintenance in Maintenix (front-end and back-end), Atlas, and Access databases
Develop and manage the development of new data tools that satisfy the requirements from F117 maintenance data customers.
Mine data from F117 Atlas and Maintenix (front-end and back-end) and other sources to support business analytics and engineering investigations
Support a team dedicated to validating, analyzing, and interpreting large amounts of maintenance data to provide insightful and meaningful conclusions that can be used across Mobility Programs
Qualifications You Must Have
BS degree in Computer Science or Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
8 years of project management experience or an advanced degree with 5 years of project management experience
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Previous experience with databases and front-end applications
Proficiency in SQL and use of the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Access
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with Maintenix, Python, USAF FMxC2 system, Solumina, and SAP is a plus
Experience using data analytics to solve business problems
Previous C17/F117 experience preferred
Experience of shop maintenance experience in the field of aviation
Engine overhaul shop, engine test, and/or Air Force depot or flight line maintenance experience Knowledge of jet engine repair and overhaul maintenance practices
Strong oral and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work within a team environment
Role Type Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Not Relocation Eligible – Relocation assistance not available
