Salary Range: $65,102.17 - $100,908.37
Description Summary This position provides overall administrative management and coordination of a variety of business-related functions, strategic planning, budget development and cost center management. This person will work closely with the Practice Administrator, Practice Coordinator, and the Division/Department heads for all operational issues to establish and maintain an efficient, cohesive and productive work team within the Department/Division assigned.
Duties/Responsibilities
Analysis of a variety of reports, including scheduling reports, productivity, utilization, as well as financial reporting
Initiates business plan for new services and/or special events
Supervises the Practice Coordinators, Residency Coordinator, research personnel and work closely with Nursing Leadership
Coordinate faculty and administrative activities within Practice, both clinically and administratively, along with the Practice Coordinator
Adheres to organizational policies and procedures
Supports compliance/improvement processes in relation to coding and documentation requirements
Manages payroll and personal leave time
Assures credentialing status of office and medical staff
Completes purchasing and tracking of Department/Division expenses
Utilizes problem‑solving skills in the day‑to‑day management of activity in the Department/Division
Demonstrates responsibility for billing process, managing open encounter and Epic reports, supports biller/provider open communication and relationship
Responsibility for compliance with all Human Resource requirements
Manages operating expenses for assigned area according to authorized budget
Completes check requests and requisitions, communicates with AMC departments and outside vendors, and keeps accurate records of all expenses
Manages operations to fulfill quality/customer‑service objectives
Supervises the administrative support staff that provide secretarial support to the physicians and professional staff
Encourage and embrace a “group practice” culture within Faculty Group Practice
Participate in all center‑wide committees as requested
Participate and encourage teamwork within the Department of Surgery
Master skill levels in APM and Workday
Education
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in supervision and management of a medical practice.
