Description
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Utilize GPS systems and traditional means to set grade and conduct construction layout on highways, parking lots and civil sitework projects.
Must be willing to do manual labor
Read, understand and verify survey stakes to determine grade specifications
Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions or behaviors
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
Requires bending, kneeling, climbing, walking and twisting
Aptitude for math and problem solving
2 years working in civil construction including earthwork, paving and concrete preferred
Ability to read, understand and verify construction plans a bonus
Troubleshoot situations and solve problems. (material quality/quantity, GPS equipment operation/repair, etc.)
Willingness to learn equipment operation and other aspects of construction
