Job Description The Shuttle Driver/Tour guide is responsible for following safety protocol, schedules, and pre‑determined routes. The driver will also act as the tour guide throughout the trip.
Duties and Responsibilities
Exceptional attendance and punctuality
Accurately complete vehicle safety checks and escalate any issues
Compliance with all traffic laws, and federal and state transit regulations
Interact with customers and our central dispatch team and managers in a professional manner
Provide excellent customer service and support to all riders, i.e., answer questions about schedules, routes, transfer points, and delays
Promptly report vehicle maintenance, road and route concerns, accidents, and other traffic disruptions using two‑way radios or hands‑free devices
Additional duties and responsibilities may apply
The driver is responsible for plugging in and charging the vehicle at the end of the day
Skills Required and Physical Demands
Use route navigation apps and other technology, including knowledge of area to pick up and drop off customers
Maintain electronic logs to track routes and incidents
Ability to safely operate a vehicle without a break for a minimum period of one hour and forty‑five minutes
Ability to drive in fluctuating weather and terrain
Flexible schedule to work outside of regular days and shifts
Comfortable working a split‑shift schedule
Ability to lift 45 pounds or more to assist with loading and unloading ADA passengers

Education and Qualifications Hard Requirements:
Clean driving record
Commercial driver’s license (CDL Class A or B)
Passenger endorsement
Airbrake endorsement
Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and background check
Preferred Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
At least 1 year of driving experience
