Registered Nurse II Post Partum
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-driven patient care to families and patients at a competent level, utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.
Responsibilities:
Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients.
Utilize nursing process principles and practices to deliver safe and effective care.
Collaborate with the health care team to achieve desired patient outcomes.
Maintain current clinical knowledge and employ evidence-based practices.
Document patient care accurately and timely.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Registered nurse licensure by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or American Red Cross).
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Ability to perform tasks required by the Patient Care Environment & Physical, Mental Requirements outlined.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb stairs and perform required patient care tasks.
Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted and perform tasks requiring up to 50 lbs. force.
Vision, hearing, and peripheral vision capabilities within normal limits.
Ability to handle stressful situations and work rotating shifts, overtime, and in a latex‑safe environment as desired.
