Beacon Health System is hiring a full‑time night‑shift Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, IN.

Night (7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m., 6 shifts per pay period)
About Elkhart General Hospital Elkhart General Hospital is a not‑for‑profit, 357‑bed hospital serving the community for over 100 years. The hospital offers services including Emergency Department, radiology, orthopedics, maternity, behavioral health, imaging, genetic counseling, and DaVinci robotic surgery.
What You’ll Do As an Emergency Department RN you will report to the Director or Manager of the Emergency Department and provide professional nursing services. You will assess patients, initiate, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care, and collaborate with other staff to provide quality care.
Responsibilities
Plan and implement nursing care with goals and prioritized approaches derived from the nursing diagnosis.
Accept responsibility for individual nursing actions and maintain competency.
Respect patient dignity and privacy, protecting confidential information.
Delegate and retain accountability for nursing interventions.
Formulate nursing diagnosis based on systematic data collection.
Assess patients in a systematic, organized manner.
Implement strategies for patient and family participation in health promotion.
Evaluate goal achievement with patients and adjust plans accordingly.
Conduct purposeful rounding to assess, evaluate, and anticipate needs.
Participate in quality and effectiveness reviews of nursing care.
Attend department meetings and share information as required.
Complete mandatory education, annual competencies, and department‑specific education within established timeframes.
Complete annual employee health requirements within established timeframes.
Qualifications
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
For candidates hired after January 1, 2014, must obtain a BSN within five years of employment or become certified in their specialty area. Certification must be maintained according to accrediting standards.
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Indiana.
