Overview The position shall perform all aspects of the leasing process including scheduling, touring, qualifying, and preparing all required paperwork for prospects and applicants.
Responsibilities
Must be highly accessible to prospects, brokers, and applicants during the leasing process.
Give effective presentations during property tours; maintain knowledge of current and future apartment availability to be utilized during tours.
Must be tenacious in follow‑ups and closings of lease agreements.
Process applications and review qualifying paperwork.
Promote amenity reservations prior to lease signing and facilitate bike and storage agreements.
Maintain strict understanding and adherence of Fair Housing Parameters and Rent Stabilization.
Promote first‑class operation demonstrated by exemplifying integrity, courtesy, and professionalism.
Build rapport with new prospects and residents in the community.
Facilitate closing activities and related scheduling associated with new lease agreements.
Perform daily inspection of tour paths, leasing office, amenities, vacant apartments, and common areas, and communicate work orders to maintenance staff.
Process construction complaints, submit work orders and amenity reservations, interpret and authorize liability insurance from movers or vendors and effectively address resident inquiries.
Accurately obtain and compile prospect/applicant data for entry into Onsite, MRI, or related software platform.
Track all office traffic and phone inquiry activities for completion of industry or building metric reports, as required.
Replenish all collateral material including new deal folders, prospect folders, floor plans, application documents as needed.
Update and maintain weekly online advertising and broker outreach.
Timely complete reports, projects, and other assignments as directed by Leasing Manager.
Serve as a resource, advocate, and catalyst for sustainability at The Durst Organization. Qualifications
Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution in business administration or related field or equivalent experience.
Strong understanding of the New York Real Estate Rental Market.
A mild demeanor with strong sales aptitude.
Maintains a professional demeanor.
Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and problem‑resolution skills.
Ability to interact effectively with diverse groups.
Ability to work independently and in team settings.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
Possess high level of attention to detail.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Fundamental knowledge of company history, brand, and unique characteristics of the building.
Salary Range:
$74,000 – $84,000 (this position is eligible for commission and discretionary annual bonus).
