Summary of Job The Registered Nurse (RN) oversees medical, psychiatric, substance‑abuse and nursing care for individuals served. The RN also serves as a clinical liaison for designated individuals until they are enrolled in services at another community facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Guest Care & Advocacy:
Coordinates services with community health, mental health and social service agencies to ensure appropriate services for individuals.
Assists individuals with the preparation and recording of the service‑planning process.
Conducts assessments and treatment plans.
Provides individual and family counseling.
Participates in the development of educational curriculum.
Supervises and/or provides nursing treatment and monitoring, such as diabetes and blood pressure.
Responds to crisis calls for assessment and pertinent intervention as needed.
Coordinates the relationship with outside medical and nursing support services, including pharmacy and laboratory services.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Administers medication as required by protocol.
Completes clinical documentation as required.
Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations, laws and Recovery Innovations policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
Understands and adheres to Recovery Innovations compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration:
Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to continuously improve productivity, efficiency, recovery outcomes and medical care.

Job Requirements
Education / Licenses:
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
Valid and current state‑specific Nursing license (Compact licensure preferred).
Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting.
Skills:
Knowledge of psychiatric medications and their indications, side effects and interactions.
Basic computer skills.
Attention to detail, problem‑solving, assessment and treatment planning.
Excellent written and verbal communication, effective listening, and documentation skills.
Trauma‑informed care experience preferred.
Bilingual preferred.
Must be able to pass de‑escalation training, as defined by state requirements.
Driving Requirements:
If driving is required, must meet all requirements outlined in Recovery Innovations’ driving policy.
If not qualified to drive, a Non‑Driver Attestation form must be signed.
