Senior Radiology Technician – Heart & Vascular

As a Senior Radiology Technician in the Heart Cardiac Catheterization Lab and the Electrophysiology Lab, you will perform procedures, properly operate equipment, and record results in a timely manner. Your shifts are days and calls, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Responsibilities
Perform exams as directed by physicians to ensure appropriate views of anatomy for accurate diagnosis.
Assist physicians directly, utilizing sterile technique for all invasive procedures.
Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, including pulse assessment and sterile field preparation.
Participate in assessment and quality of equipment and daily operational supplies with the department manager and make recommendations accordingly.
Take emergency calls after hours and on weekends when emergent procedures are needed.
Maintain adequate supplies and be proficient with the inventory management system.
Notify appropriate personnel to ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
Assist in other areas of Heart and Vascular if needed when there is no other work in the designated department.
Conduct patient education, screening, and scheduling.
Assist with set-up and execution of procedures and transportation of patients.
Attend continuing education programs and complete mandatory training to maintain licensure, positional competencies, and professional growth.
Minimum Qualifications
Successful completion of an approved School of Radiologic Technology program.
Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in good standing.
Current state licensure (RL).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Cardiovascular‑Interventional Radiography (CV‑ARRT).
One or two years of experience as a diagnostic technologist.
Or one year of experience in special procedures.
Physical Requirements
Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
Personal Protective Equipment
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range Minimum hourly: $31.00
Maximum hourly: $46.50
