Responsibilities Coordinates employee annual physicals, PPD, and fit testing while maintaining a tracking system. Ensures timely processing of workers’ compensation claims and evaluates accident reports to determine accuracy, completeness and adequacy of investigation. Serves as the primary health contact for injured employees in the work environment. If an RN, provides emergency evaluation and treatment for work‑related injuries; if not an RN, refers employees to appropriate departments for emergency evaluation and treatment. Assures cost‑effective coordination of treatment, referral to preferred providers, and collaborates with management in developing objectives for employee health services compatible with the hospital’s goals.

Records and helps maintain required confidential employee and administrative records.

Qualifications

Knowledge of the theory, techniques and practices of employee health.

Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Experience in workers’ compensation, insurance and the medical field preferred.

Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State preferred.

BLS upon hire required.

Pay Transparency Desert Valley Hospital offers competitive compensation. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes wages, benefits and other forms of compensation, is $25.00 to $36.21 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire based on skill set, experience, education, credentials and licensure.
