Salary starting at $65k/yearly

Job Purpose Position will report to the Warehouse Manager. Supervise warehouse operations as required. Communicate transitional information from night shift to day shift. Manage staff assigned to shift including employee performance reviews and disciplinary actions. Oversee computer entry work and paperwork flow.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assign work assignments for all 2nd shift warehouse staffing, coordinating with customer specifications and driver departure times to meet delivery schedules.

Oversee loading of inbound/outbound freight according to customer specifications.

Supervise Local, Regional, and OTR drivers, communicating updates and workflow changes.

Review deliveries for poor packing and general material conditions.

Alert Customer Service Representative, Warehouse Manager, and COO of any problems, providing clear information or pictures if necessary.

Oversee and assign processing of shipment paperwork, including scanning of BOLs.

Ensure all shipments are recorded and verified, and that shipment accuracy matches paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments.

Monitor quality and accuracy of all shipments according to customer specifications.

Ensure department staff meets customer requirements and is trained on any changes.

Update Tee Card board and TMW system.

Communicate with customers and respond to inquiries, implementing required actions.

Communicate via e‑mail prior to shift end to ensure smooth transition of workflow, issues, customer concerns, or maintenance reports.

Ensure safety, training, and development of employees, drivers, and contractors per OSHA and RJW policies.

Oversee completion of all computer data entry, checking for accuracy and efficiency.

Maintain and approve shift employee timesheets for weekly payroll, including temp hours, making corrections as needed.

Monitor overtime hours to meet department requirements.

Perform daily building checks, notifying Warehouse Director of equipment or building problems and assisting with preventive maintenance.

Ensure warehouse employees adhere to all AIB processes, procedures, and guidelines and have completed AIB training for food product handling.

Verify completion of checklists for building, equipment, and safety per SOP or Policy, issuing corrective actions or work orders as needed.

Handle accident reporting, care of injured employees, and notify HR and management of emergency actions.

Perform assigned tasks or other duties as instructed by Warehouse Manager or COO.

Qualifications

Minimum 3+ years of warehouse supervisory/managerial experience.

Effective communication in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Dispatch experience and dock supervision experience.

Familiarity with Smart Turn or TMW software (a plus).

Experience in Warehouse Management and LTL dispatch.

Knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements.

Education and/or Experience Required

Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Some college preferred.

Physical Demands Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Activate phone system using keyboards and buttons.

Articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.

Work in an indoor/warehouse environment, requiring sit, stand, walk, bend, lift or kneel.

Frequently required to talk, hear, and communicate with customers or other employees.

Ability to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.

Read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision.

Hear speech out of both ears in normal range of 30 db at 500–2000 Hz.

Speak and communicate clearly over telephones.

In sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of controlled substance use.

Work Environment Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles. Noise level ranges from quiet to moderately loud.
