Overview The Inventory Specialist is responsible for HVI inventory management, inventory controls, expiration, and vendor management related to returns and inventory levels. They maintain an electronic inventory database, generate required reports, and work closely with the Inventory/Contract Supervisor.

Responsibilities

Maintain inventory, make changes, and keep a history of changes.

Check stock daily on all supplies and order as needed, including non‑inventory supplies.

Resolve inventory discrepancies and communicate backorders, missing case data, system updates, barcode updates, and physical inventory with vendors.

Manage inventory: custom packs, consignments, cost‑saving documentation, vendor quarterly savings, reprocessing reviews, cycle counting, ABC status updates (if needed), inventory recalls, specialty orders and gases, trunk stock, and LINQ supplies.

Participate in department inventory meetings and inventory system customer meetings.

Arrange annual reviews and reports for custom packs, PAR cart, inventory, and no‑use items.

Ensure continuous supply of goods to enable a smooth operational flow while keeping inventory at its lowest possible level.

Work to reduce expenses (cost saving).

Complete trunk stock bill purchase orders.

Review CPD/Storeroom supplies and order as needed.

Manage flow of supplies by pulling Spacetrax (Qsight) expired items, Omnicell expired items, and non‑PAR Cart expired items, then emailing Leads the upcoming 90‑day expiration.

Assist in distribution of supplies and oversee coordination of defective equipment replacements.

Provide reports from the database to HVI leadership and maintain database accuracy.

Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $15.32 per hour - $24.82 per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
