We are currently seeking a
Project Coordinator
to join our team based out of our
Eden Prairie, MN
location. This role will help us enhance our marketing capabilities to support the commercial team and effectively continue to build brand awareness.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
Provide coordination and support for key processes needed to ensure the successful integration of new customers, products and projects into Apex
New Product Introduction (NPI) PM Champion. Coordinate PM activities by following standard work (documented processes) for successful new product launches and to continuously sustain products on the market. Support all New Product Introduction activities that require PM coordination.
Learn and utilize all onboarding tools and ensure use of processes for onboarding new projects with new and existing customers which includes tracking progress in pilot and launch to launch calendar w/ PM assistance
Ensure that project parameters, set‑ups and pricing are input into the Apex system for new items in a timely and accurate manner.
Set‑up product requirements for all new products
Coordinate seamless hand‑off to Supply Chain during transition between project on‑boarding and order entry/fulfillment
Assist in the execution of product obsolescence (when required) in APEX systems
Effectively add value and manage customer expectations throughout all project processes
Coordinate with the customer specific PM to ensure that all new customer information is obtained and provided to relevant functional teams
Coordinate the fulfillment of customer artwork with procurement and quality departments.
Communicate with customer contacts to organize receipt and shipping of product samples
Determine ways of improving the customer experience by providing and collecting feedback between team members and with customer
Ensure customer satisfaction by intentionally providing consistent follow‑through and determining ways to improve tools and processes
Manage changes, as needed, in specifications required by customer through Apex change control process
Coordinate with PM and Supply Chain resources to track components and raw materials for pilot and launches
Understand and maintain a culture of continuous improvement within the Project Mgmt group
Implement and maintain standards and processes that eliminate waste throughout the department
Apply and utilize continuous process improvement
Institutionalize 5‑S in all aspects of the department (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize and Sustain)
Perform other assigned projects that promote customer intimacy and sales growth
Prior Experience This position requires a minimum of 1 year of documented success in a fast‑paced, variable project‑oriented environment. Some customer service experience would be very helpful. Consumer packaged goods and/or manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
Knowledge Requirements This position requires experience working in cross‑functional teams. Great communication and organizational skills are required for success at this position. Strong follow‑through, ability to prioritize and detail orientation are essential. Requires knowledge normally acquired through 4 years of college resulting in a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Licenses and Certifications None
Work Demands This position will require moderate work hours beyond the normal workday based on the demands of the business cycle, customer volume of business, and specific sales efforts underway. It has a high demand for tight deadlines and immediacy in providing solutions and answers. Confidentiality with proprietary customer information and strategic plans is critical. This position will experience moderate interruption in workflow. Overnight and day travel may be required occasionally.
Work Schedule This position usually works an 8‑hour shift during the period of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with a 1 hour lunch break. Hours of work are variable and will fluctuate based on the needs of the business and our customers and working more than the standard 40 hours per week may be necessary at times.
Technical Skills
Uses processes and technology to improve the quality and efficiency of service or production; follows processes well, applies training effectively.
Can maintain and grow technical knowledge and expertise. Can be accurate, precise and pay attention to detail.
Has a "working" knowledge of personal computer operation. Is proficient in the use of current Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Can read and write English at a college level.
Understands and can do basic math and algebra to create a spreadsheet report or produce a database query.
