Zip Rider Supervisor
Work: 10 months – paid for November & December off every year.
Pay: 55k-65k a year, dependent on experience.

Summary Excursions Supervisors report to the Excursions Manager and are responsible for all aspects of operating successful tours in their assigned Independent Business Unit, including productivity and profitability. Supervisors will report tour activity to management and hold their unit accountable for the highest quality customer service and tour delivery, supervising 10‑25 people depending on the tour.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct all activities and decisions according to Icy Strait Point’s guiding principles: Best, Authentic and Profitable Tour Destination.
Hire, train and supervise a specific team of employees whose function is to deliver high‑quality tours within their Independent Business Unit.
Ensure customer service standards are met in the assigned unit.
Ensure high quality and delivery of tour content.
Ensure compliance with state and federal laws as related to the unit.
Maintain vehicle records for the unit and deliver tour‑ready vehicles.
Conduct weekly safety meetings related to the unit.
Maintain high unit morale.
Identify seasonal goals for the unit.
Collaborate to ensure the department’s success.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years working in the tourism industry, preferably in Alaska, with emphasis in operations and guest services.
Minimum 3 years’ experience managing staff.
Desire to develop a career at Icy Strait Point.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and aptitude for learning other programs.
Valid driver’s license and ability to be covered by company insurance.
Outstanding customer service philosophy and practices.
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Able to lift 30 pounds, stand for extended periods, and walk over 5 miles daily.
Willing to live in a remote, rural community.
Comfortable traveling by small plane or ferry to and from remote settings.
Capable of walking and/or driving on gravel roads in inclement weather.
Icy Strait Point is a Native‑owned and operated enterprise and offers Native Preference under P.O. 93‑638. Applicants must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States. This position requires authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Compensation details: 55,000–65,000 yearly salary.
