PT6 Supervisor at Turbopower, LLC. The role requires oversight of daily PT6 Engine Program operations, including coordinating maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities to meet production schedules and uphold the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency in compliance with aerospace industry regulations.
Responsibilities
Supervise all aspects of PT6 engine disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, reassembly, and testing operations.
Interpret, apply, and direct work based on OEM manuals (Pratt & Whitney Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogs, Service Bulletins, Overhaul Manuals).
Ensure maintenance work uses current data, documented on appropriate work orders and job travelers.
Coordinate engine routing and prioritization to meet production schedule and customer commitments.
Review teardown findings, inspection reports, and repair documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Collaborate with the Test Cell to conduct performance runs according to acceptance criteria.
Ensure compliance with FAA, EASA, OEM regulations, and company Repair Station & Quality Control Manual procedures.
Participate in internal and external audits (FAA, customers, OEM).
Resolve technical issues or bottlenecks in collaboration with Production Control, Engineering, and Quality Assurance to meet deadlines.
Identify process improvement or cost reduction opportunities and implement LEAN measures.
Compile and deliver comprehensive reports on production metrics, team performance, and actionable insights.
Review and verify maintenance releases, logbook entries, and final inspection records before final sign‑off.
Support non‑conformance investigations, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Supervise, train, and mentor engine mechanics and apprentices in proper PT6 repair and overhaul methods.
Ensure proper use of tooling, calibrated instruments, and special test equipment.
Promote and maintain a safe work environment, ensuring OSHA and company safety compliance.
Oversee performance management, conduct evaluations, address employee concerns, and implement corrective actions.
Manage labor administration, including payroll forms, time and attendance records.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; FAA A&P or Repairman license strongly preferred.
5‑8 years of PT6 engine experience, including overhaul, troubleshooting, and performance testing; 3 years in a supervisory role.
Strong understanding of PT6 engine systems and maintenance procedures.
Proficiency in Quantum, Microsoft Office (Excel) and maintenance tracking software; technical manual knowledge.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, AS9110 Rev C, or similar process improvement methodologies and OEM training from Pratt & Whitney (or equivalent) preferred.

Must bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach to inspect parts at varying heights and orientations.
Must perform repetitive hand and arm movements for extended periods while maintaining accuracy.
Must work in a repair shop environment.
Basic Schedule 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday; additional time as needed.
