Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER Biweekly Hours: 80.00 Shift: Variable start and end times (7:30 a‑8 p) rotating to cover into the evening clinics. Will be cross‑trained for multiple clinics.
The MetroHealth System is redefining health care by going beyond medical treatment to improve the foundations of community health and well‑being. Founded in 1837, the system operates four hospitals, four emergency departments and more than 20 health centers.
Summary Coordinates programs and initiatives for the Department of Perioperative Services and the Surgery Service Line. Works independently on various duties that support operations, efficiency, and strategic plans. Assists with communication efforts and outreach activities. Manages vendor relationships, collects and processes data, and upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and 1 year of related experience in a healthcare environment; or, in lieu of a degree, 5 years of related experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Demonstrated program coordination skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong problem‑solving, organizational, critical‑thinking, and customer‑service skills.
Excellent writing and proofreading skills.
Strong time‑management and project‑management skills.
Ability to work quickly, efficiently, multi‑task, and prioritize in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
Experience in a perioperative environment.
Preferred: Experience with project coordination, clinical initiatives, and/or program development.
Physical Requirements
MAY sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
MAY need to sit or stand for extended periods.
Visual and auditory normal ranges (with or without correction) are required.
Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.
MAY lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
Must communicate in face‑to‑face, phone, email, and other channels.
Must see computer monitor and departmental documents.
