Position: CoMET Project Manager
Location: Austin, Texas
Mission / Position Description Summary The mission of the Project Manager for HVJ, a leading specialty engineering firm in Texas, is to assure client satisfaction through client interaction and preparation of quality reports that address the specific project requirements within the project schedule, budget, and design constraints. Support other project managers or other staff as directed to assure client satisfaction following the applicable standards, specifications, and company guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Manage projects meeting HVJ SCTX financial goals and quality standards
Field and Planning Lab Assignments
Provide Project Deliverables on Schedule and Within Budget
Develop Proposal for Future Work
Provide client satisfaction
Guide and mentor junior staff
Team Building
Assist the Department Manager with general management responsibilities
Assist with Business Development
Additional Expectations
Track project expenses to ensure actual work is performed within budget
Invoice projects following client requirements and HVJ SCTX Schedule
Review all reports prior to submittal to the client for completeness and accuracy
Key Criteria / Requirements
MSCE or BSCE with 5+ years of directly related experience. Experience with projects in Public Sector such as TxDOT, Municipalities, Water Authorities is a plus.
Required Texas PE license. Excellent written and communication skills and strong knowledge of construction materials.
Proficient in Microsoft environment.
Valid Texas Driver License with no history of accidents or alcohol/drug‑related traffic offenses and valid right‑to‑work documents.
