Job Title: Project Manager - Junior

Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ Months contract to Hire (1/26/2026 - 1/25/2027)

Important Notes This role is hybrid.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays in office till Sept 1.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays after Sept 1.

Need only local candidates and US Citizens for this role.

Qualifications

3+ years experience in role with:

Experience with project management and leadership across IT and business functions.

Experience managing large complex projects that consist of a combination of internal/external and labor/non‑labor cost components Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management best practices including knowledge of waterfall, agile and SDLC methodologies and tools

Must have excellent leadership skills (proven ability to coach, develop, and lead a team) and must be able to work with a diverse project team consisting of resources from all parts of the organization (both IT & Business)

Proven ability to engage and develop relationships with executive sponsors and key stakeholders with clarity and precision

Experience with project cost management and resource capacity planning

Strong Business Process Analysis and Mapping skills

Experience implementing change management approaches to support projects

Experience in the indirect management of team members including assisting in the development, training, and assignment of work/projects to other members of a team

Familiarity with the Energy Industry is a plus

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience that demonstrates experience with technical project management and project leadership

4 hours of PMM training prior to assuming role

20 hours of ongoing professional training per year

Project management certification (PMP)

Agile certification such as PSM (Professional Scrum Master) and Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) a plus

ITIL v3 or v4 a plus

Responsibilities

The Cybersecurity Project Manager is responsible for guiding cross-functional cybersecurity teams using Agile and waterfall methodologies, to achieve cybersecurity objectives. In this role, you will lead project planning, stakeholder communication, and risk mitigation efforts while maintaining a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles. The Cybersecurity Project Manager will foster collaboration, facilitate, and align project goals with security requirements while delivering these secure solutions on time and within budget.

PMs are expected to manage full project lifecycles using Agile, Waterfall, or Iterative methods. Deliverables include Project Charters, Solution Design Documents (SDDs), and Technical Documentation. Agile readiness checklists, UAT approvals, and deployment plans. Change management artifacts like stakeholder assessments and adoption strategies

Demonstrates knowledge of and contributes to project management processes to facilitate statement of work development and vendor progress management.

Demonstrates a moderate understanding of core project management activities for risk, issue, decision management, dependency management, status reporting, demand, budgeting, forecasting, variance explanations and capacity management.

Experience managing financials, including capital versus O&M spend forecasting, budgeting, and accruals.

Facilitates collaboration across multiple functions, departments, and levels and serves as a role model for teamwork.

Demonstrates moderate interpersonal skills, including the ability to contribute when making effective project presentations and communicates technical concepts to non-technical clients.

Demonstrates basic knowledge in the use of project management and SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative and Agile) and tools (ServiceNow, PowerBI and Jira).

While it is not required it would be nice if the Pm understands about Archer tool and or has experience in Policy and standard management. Compliance and risk assessments, issue and exception tracking

Pay rate: $44.94-63.13/hr depending on experience
