About This Role Utilise your administrative expertise to provide support and advice to Corrections Victoria at Loddon and Middleton Prisons. An ongoing, full-time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service.

VPS Grade 2: $60,295 - $77,430 plus superannuation.

About the Business Unit Located at Castlemaine, Loddon Prison is a 477 bed Medium Security Prison for sentenced male prisoners. Adjacent to Loddon Prison is Middleton, a 236 bed Restricted Minimum Security Prison for sentenced male prisoners. The focus of both prisons is rehabilitation via individual case management, employment, education, training and also the provision of programs and targeted interventions to address offending behaviour and promote the development of prosocial behaviour. Both prisons provide contemporary and quality correctional services that prepare prisoners for transition and reintegration.

The Role The Administration Officer plays a crucial part in supporting the Offender Management Supervisors across Loddon Prison and Middleton and will be required to provide a wide range of administrative support for custodial and non-custodial staff members. This role will entail a wide variety of functions including resolving internal stakeholder queries, preparing, attending and distributing minutes of various meetings including Case Management Review Committee and regular supervisor meetings as well as other general computer related duties.

Key Responsibilities

Providing a wide range of administrative functions to Offender Management Supervisors within Loddon Prison and Middleton.

Taking, preparing, distributing and attending to electronic filing of minutes of various meetings, including regular Supervisor and Case Management Review Committee (CMRC) meetings.

Creating and maintaining records in the Prisoner Information System (PIMS).

About You

An understanding and ability to use advanced computer skills to complex word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, or database functions.

Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations.
