About This Role The Justice Officer – Stores delivers services within prison facilities. This role supports Corrections Victoria at Loddon Mallee Region Prisons, working primarily at Loddon Prison · Middleton at Castlemaine and Tarrengower Prison.
VPS Grade 2: $60,295 – $77,430 plus superannuation.
Some of Your Duties Will Include
Under the direction of the Team Leader – Stores and Finance, provide a range of Stores & Finance services including warehouse, forklift operations, finance support, purchasing, procurement, stock/inventory control, general prison/prisoner services administration and related duties in compliance with the Financial Management Act 1994.
Serve prisoners within prisoner shops/canteens, supervise prisoner workers, order and receipting of stock, maintain minimum stock levels, manage shop lists, secure stock, conduct stocktaking and record keeping, ensuring shops are clean and well‑ordered.
Work productively and respectfully as part of a dedicated and supportive team within a rotational roster framework featuring task responsibilities in accordance with this position description.
This position requires direct prisoner contact and supervision and may involve weekend and public holiday work in accordance with the VPS Enterprise Agreement 2024.
About You
Well‑developed computer literacy.
Sound knowledge of and application of legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations.
Experience with Oracle or similar finance‑related system.
Understanding of shop, store and warehousing operations including associated stock management.
Qualifications / Requirements
Advanced computer skills including effective use of various systems such as word processing, spreadsheets, email, appointment scheduling and internet is desirable.
