This role can sit hybrid in Seattle, San Francisco, Palo Alto, Santa Monica, Boston, NYC, or D.C.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with senior management to refine and execute comprehensive BD strategies, campaigns, and measurable growth objectives.
Build and maintain a prioritized pipeline of high-value targets by stage, geography, and business need.
Partner with attorneys to drive outreach and engagement - from lists and communications to meeting preparation and follow-through.
Oversee strategic pursuits from qualification to close, including credentials, matter mapping, win themes, pricing inputs, and post-matter analysis.
Lead industry-focused initiatives such as thought leadership content, webinars, and conference strategies that generate business opportunities.
Develop polished, partner-ready materials including case studies, one-pagers, and credentials summaries.
Measure and report on key success metrics - meetings set, pursuits advanced, wins, and content-to-meeting conversions.
Maintain accurate data in CRM systems, ensuring visibility into all BD activities, targets, and outcomes.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or JD preferred.
7+ years of experience in business development, marketing, or pursuit management within a major law firm, Big Four, or other professional services organization.
Proven experience in account and client relationship management.
Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills suited to high-stakes professional environments.
Strong project and people management capabilities with the ability to drive multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Analytical, strategic, and creative mindset with strong business acumen.
Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint).
Familiarity with technology industries, including software, mobile, life sciences, cleantech, and the start-up ecosystem strongly preferred.
