Full-time Facility Technician – Baltimore Take on a new challenge and apply your technical expertise in a dynamic, safety‑focused environment. You'll report to the Facilities Supervisor (Baltimore) and work alongside a dedicated, collaborative, and proactive team.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving our passenger rail stations and facilities to ensure safe and efficient operations. Day‑to‑day, you'll perform preventive and corrective maintenance, conduct inspections, and support other operational tasks. You'll also manage work through our CMMS system and coordinate with contractors when needed. You’ll specifically take care of maintaining station equipment and infrastructure, and repair crossings, culverts, sidewalks, and parking lots.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance on facility and station equipment
Manage and document tasks using CMMS
Conduct inspections at stations and facilities
Provide flagging protection for contracted work parties (CSX Rules training required)
Maintain signage at rail stations and facilities
Perform repairs or replacements of crossings, culverts, sidewalks, and parking lots
Support other tasks necessary for safe and efficient railroad operations
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Technical training or equivalent experience in maintenance or construction
Valid driver’s license with no restrictions
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work varied hours, including holidays and weekends
Strong safety awareness and ability to wear PPE
Preferred: Experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC
Proficiency with hand and power tools
Familiarity with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office
Strong problem‑solving, communication, and time‑management skills
