Saint Francis Hospital – Regional Medical Staff Coordinator
Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking an experienced Regional Medical Staff Coordinator to join our team.
Employment Type Full Time
Shift Day Shift – Full time (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday. No weekends or holidays.
Description In this role you will assist the THMA Regional Director of Medical Affairs, Medical Staff offices, and the Vice President Medical Affairs in the credentialing, administration, and coordination activities for the Mid‑Atlantic region. You will exercise good judgment and confidentiality in accordance with hospital and medical staff policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and process initial and reappointment applications.
Compile quality data and logs for initial and reappointment reviews.
Prepare correspondence to providers and physician leaders.
Perform various online inquiries and maintain applicant files.
Continuously follow up and contact applicants and their staff.
Organize credentials files for review.
Understand and adhere to JCAHO, CMS, and DOH requirements.
Compliance with FPPE and OPPE processes.
Prepare recommendation letters for Department Chairs and Section Directors.
Prepare Credential Committee agenda, credential reports, and follow‑up correspondence.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree in a related healthcare specialty (highly preferred).
At least 5 years’ experience in medical staff credentialing, preferably in a hospital setting.
Familiarity with the Joint Commission and CMS.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
